FUMCN Auction

Our major fundraiser is the annual FUMCN Auction.  Each family must donate an item or service that is worth $30 or more. 

 

 

To give you some ideas, here is a list of some items donated in the past:

·        Artwork – Paintings, Sculptures

·        Handmade Holiday Cards

·        Boy’s Rainy Day Fun Basket

·        Gift Certificate for Restaurant

·        Private Tennis Lessons at Polo Fields

·        Autographed Michigan Jersey

·        Handmade Baby Blankets

·        Vacation Cottage (weekend)

·        Creative Memories Basket

What else do you need to do to get ready for the auction?

NOW! Volunteer to help the night of the auction. The great thing about the auction is how all the FUMCN families work together to have this fun event that raises so much important money for our wonderful school. Sign-up sheet posted next to the bulletin board in the hallway
ASAP (by 10/28!!) Please write down what you are donating on the sign-up sheet. This helps others get ideas and helps us with pre-auction planning. Sign-up sheet posted next to the bulletin board in the hallway
By Friday 10/28 Fill out the Item Description Forms. One copy should go in the Auction Form box in the B room by 10/28. Fill out the second form and attach it to your item when you drop it off (see dates/times below). Your description should be brief -- 1 to 2 sentences -- but colorful. Tell us how wonderful your item is! Feel free to include an estimated value if you wish. Keep in mind that your description is what the auctioneer will read that night. Auction Forms box in B Room
By Friday 11/4 If you need childcare the night of the auction, please sign up and let us know how many children and what their ages are. The kids will have all three FUMCN classrooms to play in with snacks and movies. A $5 donation for babysitters is suggested per child. Posted next to the bulletin board in the hallway.
By Wednesday 11/9 Invite friends, family, neighbors and anyone who likes to spend money! Everywhere you can!
Monday 11/7 and Tuesday 11/8; 11am-1pm Bring in your item, with the Item Description Sheet firmly attached to it. 4AM: B Room;
Other classes: Pine Room on left as you enter the school
Wednesday 11/9 The Auction!! Childcare drop-off, auction preview and snacks start at 6:15pm. Auction begins at 7pm. Have fun! FUMC Social Hall
