I am Juli Miettinen (Ms. Juli). I came to FUMCN with 7 plus years of Preschool teaching experience, and I have an Associates Degree from Schoolcraft College in Early Childhood Development and Education.  I hope to work on my Bachelors and Graduate degrees in the future, and am currently a member of the National Association for the Education of Young Children and have taught workshops at their State and Midwest conferences.

I am excited to be a part of FUMCN.  This Cooperative Nursery drew me by its positive reputation and considerable parental involvement.  I am proud to have been chosen to teach your children!

My philosophy regarding the education of children revolves around the poem:

Children need to experience activities through many senses to fully understand what is being taught.  I will plan and implement activities through which the children can explore and learn.  I will use creative techniques that will foster individual growth while helping them understand God's wonderful world.
